Our client is one of the distributors of Karcher equipment in Ukraine. As for a new player on the market, the client’s special wish was to keep the functionality from the company's official website, to make the design functional and the admin panel comfortable and flexible, with subsequent improvements. Also, the client was expecting the site as soon as possible due to the upcoming winter holidays.
For a complete understanding, we have prepared a technical task and made a prototype of appliances online store before the conclusion of the contract. Also, in addition, we showed the “skeleton” of the admin panel of a similar project.
A total of two weeks was spent on the elaboration of conditions and the establishment of agreements.
Since our goal was to maximize compliance with the Karcher brand book, we offered a modern design, with minimal animations, large bright pictures of products, a detailed catalog for being able to get to the right product as quickly as possible (there are more than 300 of them on the website).
In design and architecture, we first of all, tried to focus on functionality and retained the ability to get to any page in three clicks. In the presence of a large amount of content, we also sought to get away from the site “overload”.
Especially important was the work on the development of elements and interaction with it on the site. It was extremely important to draw the user's attention to aspects such as the possibility of buying in one click, previously agreed by the client.
The functionality of the website is truly extensive.
We made a custom cart, with options for payment and delivery for the client’s business processes, as well as a built-in order manager and automatic confirmation.
In the admin panel, in addition to the standard options for filling in goods, assigning categories and related products, adding media files, there is the possibility of issuing discounts by category / product on the site, as well as the ability to set discounts for related products in a particular card.
In the admin panel, we added the “drag and drop” function in order to simply “drag over” products, the site administrator had the opportunity to change the display of products in the catalog. Also, immediately, through the admin panel of the site there is an opportunity to send letters to registered users. Registered users are also available unique discount offers that are displayed only for them (when they are issued from the admin panel).
Even at the design stage, we decided to combine the basket with the payment page so that the user does not have to switch from one page to another, and the progress was not canceled at the end of the session. Also, the user has the opportunity to choose whether he needs a callback to confirm the order.
To top it off - we made it possible to compare products on the site, thanks to which the user can look at similar products and finally make sure of his choice (or change the opinion in favor of another option).
For two months of clean work, we have developed a fully customized online store with advanced functionality that satisfies all items of the technical specifications and is ready to use. We also prepared unique descriptions for all products (more than 300 items).
This is a truly voluminous project, completed with high quality and tight deadlines, which our company is proud of.
