Client's task

A client contacted us because their website was quite old. They had completed rebranding and wanted to update the website to promote it through advertising and SEO. However, due to the outbreak of the pandemic, the company suspended the project indefinitely after the design was completed and never resumed work on it.

Features of website development for a travel agency

Despite not starting the website development, the developers needed to be involved in its design. As is common, most travel agencies require mandatory integration of third-party APIs on their website to display current tours and offers from tour operators. Additionally, advanced cataloging and filtering were planned for a website with a rather complex structure.

Travel agency website design

The customer took the website design very seriously. Initially, we prepared a prototype (UX layout of the website), mapping out the entire user journey and ensuring it was testable. It was crucial that the website was intuitive and user-friendly, especially for users aged 50 and above.

To achieve satisfactory results, we revised the page structure and cataloging several times. Eventually, we achieved the desired outcome and moved on to the website UI.

After three iterations, we finalized the website design, utilizing red corporate colors for CTAs, alongside gray and white tones to highlight vibrant photographs of tourist destinations. This approach ensured users were focused on experiencing the tours and taking targeted actions without distractions. All elements were intentionally designed to be large, given that a significant portion of the website's audience falls within the older age category.
