What is wordpress?
WordPress is cms or website engine. We wrote in detail about the “engines” and “platforms” in our blog. WordPress is a ready-made admin panel and a platform on which the website workflow is configured. This platform is one of the most widespread all over the world :) Now let's move on to common misconceptions.
"THE WORDPRESS WEBSITE IS A BAD WEBSITE, POOR QUALITY, LIMITED."
This is not true. A WordPress site can work just as well as any other. Most often, WordPress sites are of poor quality and bad because of bad developers. Due to the fact that learning how to make websites on WordPress is easy - everyone does it, including the laziest and incompetent ones.
But as for the restrictions, this is partly true. Complex functionality is better not to “pull” on WordPress, as well as e-commerce sites. There are special platforms and individual solutions for this :) In addition, lately, Google has been swearing at WordPress and prefers clean code and frameworks.
WORDPRESS CAN ONLY MAKE TEMPLATES, NOT INDIVIDUAL DESIGN.
This is also a delusion. On Vodpress, you can make any-your-heart-any individual design with a study of the user path, site structure and everything related to the visual component.
Unfortunately, often unethical developers pass off a template as a unique design or say that it is impossible to make a unique design on WordPress in order to sell what they want to sell. Do not listen to fables and contact trusted companies :)
WORDPRESS IS THE MOST CONVENIENT SOLUTION.
But here everything is relative. If your content manager has been working with WordPress for 5 years, then this is really the most convenient solution.
But, as practice shows, if before WordPress there was a site on another platform, the admin panel is as inconvenient as any other.
Therefore, if convenience is important to you and you are ready to overpay, order the development of an admin panel, for example, on Laravel or Symphony. Discuss all the details and trifles with the site development contractor, participate in its design so that it is really convenient and made individually for you.
As a summary - a WordPress site is really the best solution for small business card sites and a normal solution for large sites whose functions are limited to filling out a lead form or viewing content. As always: it all depends on what you need :)
